Fortunate and Unfortunate - #32 I Believe

There is always a fortunate thing hidden inside a unfortunate event happened.

However, there need not be a unfortunate thing hidden in a fortunate event.

Self Target - #31 I Believe

Target is set in companies, organizations and schools as syllabus.

Self target is the only way to attain destination. This is not only applicable in official life but also in personal life.

It is attached to definite time period. Whatever small actions we do, like cooking, washing etc, aligning them towards the time improve us to align our big activity towards time and achieve the target!

Ignorant and Ignoring- #30 I Believe

Ignorant:
We cannot be aware of everything happening around us and it is practically not possible. However, it is important for anyone to be less ignorant and try to be eliminating our ignorance!

Ignoring:
We cannot afford others' negative thoughts to influence us in our activity. They are to be ignored. Let them be ignored. Ignore others, their thoughts, their comments if they are not meant to be!!

We cannot be ignorant and at the same time we need to ignore many unwanted things!

Polite and Strong - #29 I Believe

Polite and Strong - #29 I Believe

Be polite in expressing the thoughts, even anger. But be strong in expressing them. Being strong is much more important than being impulsive.

Pune city in my view - Part 5!

Pune city in my view - Part 5!

National Anthem in the theater:

I was surprised, when I first time went to one of the theaters in Pune. It is because of National Anthem played in the theater before the movie started. I have not seen this culture in Tamil Nadu or Bangalore when I saw movies recently or earlier. I remember listening to National Anthem only during school days. It will be played everyday at the end of morning assembly and at Independence day and Republic day. However after joining college, there was no assembly in the morning. So it is only during 15th August and 26th January. After coming out of college, literally I have not listened to National Anthem.

After going to theater for the first time in Pune, I was surprised and felt proud. This is really good practice and this encourages citizens to stay patriotic. I have written this to couple of malls in Chennai about my view on playing National Anthem at Pune theaters before the start of the movie.

Temperature:

The temperature in Pune is relatively less hot than hot cities in India. I was wondering that I always compare the events happening in different places I have visited, with Chennai. It is so common that I compare with my home town. It is the general tendency. The temperature is cold in winter season. I have never experienced wearing sweater during winter season in Chennai. However, in Pune, I was wearing sweater for the entire day and night was really cold. The summer in Pune is relatively less hot than Chennai. This is added advantage for being in Pune.

Mess lady:

I have been to a mess, where Kerala food is available. Though normally, I cook and eat every night, sometimes I go out for dinner. I have chosen to go to Kerala mess for the first time. The dinner was typical Kerala food. I have not forgotten to take fish curry as I have heard that Keralates are good at fish curries and I felt the same after eating the curry. Since I have taken heavy evening snacks, I restricted to have mild dinner. After completing the same, the  amount was paid for the dinner. But the mess lady who served the food, suppose to the owner of the  mess, asked me, if the dinner was sufficient. I have eaten in hotels in different places, but not in mess. These kind of small instances make one comfortable and they feel they are not in some other place other than their known place.

Some of the happenings around us are small which may even give a big impact!!

I have tried to capture some of them happening around me and write them here, so that it can be noticed by others and can have a impact!!!

Hate Story: The story in a line!

Hate Story: The story in a line!

Only one line comes to my mind after seeing the movie:
After setting up a goal, attain it come what may!
The female lead just does this in the entire movie to attain her goal!!! The screenplay is good.

She belongs to Kolkatta (not in the movie!!), one of my favorite cities in India!

Nature - Pune City from my view - Part 4!

Nature - Pune City from my view - Part 4!

Whenever I see songs from movies, which have natural locations like greenery, falls, rivers etc, I feel excited to look at them and admire them! I think it is a boon for us to be a part of this universe where are part of such places.

Though this is known to all, I felt it is worth mentioning, none of us in the world in the past or in future (including present) can do anything against Mother Nature. No doubt, she is the best.

There are equal amount of good places to see in and around in any part of the world and appreciate the presence of nature. However, due to the so called, modern days development, the nature is being destroyed and we all are moving away from nature.

I have seen many people started appreciating the nature outside the country. I don't say all. But I sometimes feel we forget to go around our own places and appreciate the presence of nature in the form of river, mountain, greens around us, forests, flowers and fauna, sea and what not!

Since, I don't go out much earlier, I missed the chances of going in and around Tamil Nadu and now, when ever I go to my home town, I try to go to some places. However, after coming to Pune, I am getting regular chance to go around Pune. How can nature be so beautiful, admirable, adorable and of course powerful! Pune is covered with so many hilly areas and during monsoon season, no words to explain the outlet of the hilly areas. I am sure everyone of us in Pune must go around places and enjoy nature.
Be with Nature, Be Creative
I am expecting to visit some more places or even go to the same places to visit them again to admire Mother Nature. I feel happy to be a part of nature!!!

Bike Side Stand!!!

Bike Side Stand!!!

Though there are very good qualities among Pune people, which I am admiring and have been mentioning on my earlier posts, here is one quality among some people of Pune which makes to think weird.

This is my own count. If a person at least goes for a walk for about 15 minutes per day in a versatile timing, I am sure that he would definitely notice minimum 2 bike riders, riding the bike without taking off the side stand. Though this can be seen in any other places, I have seen many numbers repeatedly and I am seeing in Pune only continuously.

Probably, when I came to Pune, I thought, I did not notice this in Chennai and other places. However, when ever I go to other cities, I made it a point to notice this mandatory and finally ending up the count more in Pune!!!

This is not to tell ill about the people, but to bring awareness of the same. I shout at them on the road "Side stand dhek lo", so that they can make sure that they remove and they travel safe.

I have told this to many of my friends and colleagues and some of them came back and told me that they could able to tell the bike riders to take off the stand after deliberately noticing this when walking on the road.

So it is my request to bike riders, to positively take off the side stand in bikes before changing the gears!!!!

75th Post: Dedicated to my team members...

75th Post: Dedicated to my team members...

Working in the team is the order of the day for any professionals, be it engineering field, IT field, banking sector and what not. There is almost negligible field, where working as a  team may not be required. I can't recollect such type of work without team though.

We had a team get-together last night. My team consists of our team manager, then comes our senior who is next to our manager and rest of the team mates who are equally talented. The talents are diversified. 1. Good engineering background, 2. Completing work fast, 3. Good product knowledge, 4. Good trouble shooting knowledge, 5. Helping the team whenever required, 6. Good at handling other departments, 7. Fast learning, 8. Good at sense of humor, etc etc can be added to the qualities of my team.

Though, there were some hiccups during initial few days, my team got along with me very well, rather I got along very well with my team... I really don't know which way to mention, because both ways are apt...

They support me very well during crisis and every other situation. I must thank them for being so nice to me. They encourage me very well and make me to go to heights!!!

We met last night near in one of the restaurants and had a great party! This was the first occasion being with my team completely outside and with all of them, after coming to Pune and joining in this company. Everyone of us appreciated the get-together and enjoyed ourselves. We all had fun chatting till late night and returned. Not but not the least, the food we had... Awesome. Especially the "Crab roasted fry", I have been wanting to have crab for long time and it fulfilled last night. I had full of my stomach and returned.

It was the similar kind of mixed talents in my earlier team of previous employer and I enjoyed myself working along with them as well.

This is my 75th Post and I like to dedicate this post to my team members... I am happy to be part of my team!!

Nothing like being Home!

Nothing like being Home!

I guess, most of us unanimously agree that Home is the best place for us to finally go at the end of the day, be it after work or be it after college or anything. I too feel the same. (Though I have made my present accommodation a comfortable place to stay!!!)

I have been to my home couple of weeks before for Tamil New Year. Though, Tamil New Year was just a reason to go home and not the real reason. However, we celebrated very nice. I always find some reasons like, Diwali vacation, Pongal vacation, Tamil New Year vacation etc etcto go home for a week's time. This time, it was the latter!

It was full one week last time that I was home. More than I am, my mom was happy that I was  there.

It was the same feeling with my cousin comes from Trivandrum to Chennai every time. I know most of us feel pleasant, if we happen to go home after long time (some time also). It is a different feeling altogether. I have seen in movies when guys come to home town after long time, they feel good. Those feeling cannot be fully expressed in words, though. I also felt good, when I first time go to my home town after being in Pune.
Home is always my mom (first thought - no doubt), dad, my aunt, my uncle, my cousin (though aunt's family stay couple of streets away) and of-course my cousin's dog. All put together makes me home!!!
I have been thinking different thoughts to express them here. However, finally ending up expressing my thoughts as above!!

I am expecting to go home next time as well... Finding reasons...

Ok, Yes and No - #28 I Believe

Ok, Yes and No - #28 I Believe

Ok (Alright):
If "Ok" is told to others, it means that "I acknowledged your statement" and it does not always mean, "What ever you said is correct"!!
Yes:
If "Yes" is told, it means "I listen to you"!! And sometimes, "You are right"!!
No:
There is always different way of telling "No"! It is not the word parse and bit of modulation built into it makes the listener happy of listening "No" !!!

So, Ok, Yes and No!!! :)

#27 I Believe - We can't expect others to talk in the way we want!

#27 I Believe - We can't expect others to talk in the way we want!

Though some of us has similar or same views, the way of expressing them, won't be precisely the same. If the way of expressing itself can't be same, we cannot expect the views to the same always. Everybody has their own views.
Discussion happens in a team. We cannot expect team to discuss and take the discuss further in the away from what we thought!!! However, if anyone of the team member is embarrassed, diverting the topic is the responsibility of everyone in the team. Face reading continuously and if any one of the team members feel embarrassed, then definitely, the topic to be changed in the way which does not embarrass the speaker who embarrassed others as well!!
Though, we can't expect others to talk in the way we want, but, we can divert the topic to what we want!!

P.S: This is not applicable when there is a technical discussion and one of the team members continuously discussing the wrong way... This is for generic topic where perception and individual views matters a lot!!!

No Posts for the last 10 days!

No Posts for the last 10 days!

After started writing here, it almost on an average 10 posts every month, I do.

But, I did not open my blog spot for the past 10 days. Generally, what ever thoughts come to my mind, I keep jotting them on my cell phone and later update here with more thoughts added to it. There are more than  5 ~ 6 drafts which are already available on my blogger. However, I have not made my time to sit on this site and write posts.

I can't specify any particular reason though. I can't tell that I was busy and I did not open my laptop during evening time. I, some times, thought during these 10 days that, why should I write posts and post them on Facebook wall? At the same time, I equally think, why should I not write? It is my space to express my views similar to what others express their views in books, magazines and or here as well!!!!

I have chosen to express my views here!

I have been seeing people sharing different photos, different quotes, different messages, and of course jokes and etc etc, what not on Facebook walls!
Why should it be always sharing others' stuff on Facebook walls and why not be our views? This is not to criticize what others do!!

Why should I not express my own views! This is one simple answer that I end up, whenever I think "What is the reason for writing post?"...

Let me share my views and let me get / not get replies from others. However, let me continue to write for my own satisfaction. These posts can be read at later date and can help in review my thought process at later date.

We all ask questions to self and generate answers for them. Though the answer can be both "Yes" and "No" for the same question and substantiating for "Yes" and "No" can happen with favoritism for one of them.

Though, my way of expressing may not be matured, I feel happy to express my thoughts here for my own comfort!!!

This is answer to self for the question, "Why should I write posts?"

#26 I Believe - Presence

#26 I Believe - Presence

One's presence should not be felt as disturbance for others, rather absence can be felt as disturbance!!!

Earthquake in my home town?

Earthquake in my home town?

Today afternoon, entire Chennai (and different parts of India as well) were busy. There was enormous phone calls ringing here and there to know whether everyone was alright or not. I guess there must be congestion in the mobile networks because of enormous calls. It was fortunate that nothing happened to anyone due to earthquake in Chennai (and different parts of India). Thanks to Mother Nature!

But, I feel sad for the people who were injured in Indonesia. I request, Mother Nature to show mercy on people of Indonesia, so that next time, the earthquake would be mild and nobody is hurt!

One of my friends, who had stayed in Japan for quite some years, told me this. I thought, it would be worth sharing.

In Japan, everyone has a small bag which contains passport (if they have), some amount of money and emergency medicines in it. When they happen to experience earthquake, they immediately catch hold of that bag and either run, if the corridor is very close, or hide themselves under the table.

I was also told that there is a lesson for the Japan students to handle earthquake. Do's and Don'ts during earthquake are being taught to all citizens of Japan right from their young age.

We should also learn from them that, how to handle crisis situation and act accordingly!

Back to my School - Nostalgic memories!

Back to my School - Nostalgic memories!

People cherish with their good memories! That too when a place is seen after so many years and at the same time, if the place was a collection of very good memories, wow, no words to explain the complete feeling in few lines!

After coming to Pune, almost once in every quarter, I visit my home town for a week or so and spend time with my parents, relatives, friends and my cousin's dog. It is quite normal schedule that everyone does when they go for vacation. I don't plan much except for couple of outside work to Bank or something like that.

One of my friends wants to switch over his daughter to another school. Since he was in office and not able to go to the school for getting the application form, he called me and asked me to go to the school and get the application form.

I became happy after hearing the name of the school. It was the same school, I studied and spent my 6 years of childhood life. I have been wanting to go to my school for so many years, after I joined my profession, I have not got an occasion to go, rather, I have not made that situation to visit my school.

I parked my vehicle outside the premises and stepped in. Everybody when they enter a place, where their childhood is spent, be it, school or home town or friend's house or relative house or any other place, their memory would roll back to the time at which they were part of the place and all the activities happened would be seen in front of their eyes. I guess, nobody would be able to deny it.

When I entered the school, the construction work was going on. When I studied, though the school had kinder-garden to higher secondary, I studied up to fifth standard and switched over to another school. The school had enough places at that time. This school is one of the finest schools in the area where we stay. Probably due to the increase in number of students joining every year, the management would have started to construct new classrooms for students.  The passage has been changed to different gate, keeping in mind that no students should enter the gate where the construction work was going on.

I entered through the other gate and went to office. Wow. The school has become multistory building now. Earlier, it was only 1 floor. I remember that I have spent my 5th standard in first floor only. We all students when we go to Computer Science class, go in queue. Computer science practical session was also in first floor. Now school with only first floor changed to school with couple of floors. The teachers whom I have glanced through the corridor when I went to office room, are all new. None of my old teachers could be seen. They might have moved to some other school or got retired. I don't have contacts with any of them.

I got the application form. The fee structure shocked me as it has increased more than 700%. Whether this increase is due to the new outlook for the school or to compensate the increase in the day-to-day expenses these many years or combination of these things with many other factors!! I don't know.

I waited in the corridor for some more time and recollected my memories, school friends and teachers at that time, then stepped out of the school with my own memories.

Thanks to my friend who has unintentionally asked me to go and get the application form, by which I could able to go my to my old school!

#25 I Believe - Known and Unknown

#25 I Believe - Known and Unknown

Known and Unknown factors are the bi-products of life.

Though only some of the factors are known and many remain to be unknown, rest of them are to be guessed by preparation and intuition, some of the unknown are to be tried to make as  known in our own terms.

#24 I Believe - No change

#24 I Believe - No change
I am always the  same "I" and You are always the same "YOU"
in terms of basic nature, nevertheless the circumstances, nevertheless the opponent.
There is a small drift only in handling the circumstances and opponent.

#23 I Believe - Success

#23 I Believe
Success is not a definition, but it is a perception!
A person may think that he is successful in career but h(er)is family members would think (s) he is not spending enough time with family. So, success in life is a whole. Success in official career, personal life, spiritual life, emotional life and what not.

So success is perception!
