Back to Back Movies - "Kahaani" and "Agent Vinod"! No doubt, "Kahaani" scores the best!!!

Back to Back Movies - "Kahaani" and "Agent Vinod"!
No doubt, "Kahaani" scores the best!!!

"Agent Vinod":

I saw "Agent Vinod" on day before last-night. I generally like thriller, crime subject movies. "Game", "Dum Maro Dum" and  "Players" are from Abhishek Bachchan's casting which are of my interest type and I liked them. More than recent days movies, I like very old movies of this type.  I did not have much of expectation before going to "Agent Vinod". However, I liked the movie, due to its free-flowing screenplay. I did not feel bore during the entire  movie. The entire time in the theater was running (except for the intermission) without break. The movie was shot in different locations like Russia, London, Latvia (Europe), Somalia, Morocco (Africa), and various places in India like Tamil Nadu (only for small portion and that too famous Ilayaraja song from Maniratnam's movie "Thalapathy" played in the background - "Rakkamma Kaiyathattu"), New Delhi, Gujarat, Mumbai. "SaifAli Khan" has done his best and I would not say that "Kareena Kapoor" has done her best. Though this is male oriented subject, I did not see much of Kareena's part in the movie. On the whole, screenplay is good, story is good and this movie is entertaining!!!!

"Kahaani":

I saw "Kahaani" last night. Before completing the remaining post, I would undoubtedly say, Kahaani scores the best!!! Though the reasons are not only...
     1. "Vidya Balan's" performance
     2. Screenplay and story
     3. Female oriented subject
     4. Portrayal of Kolkatta
     5. Twist in the climax

1. Vidya Balan's Performance:
Nobody will have any doubts about her undoubtedly extreme good performance in this movie. Her performance reminded me of my friend. There are lot of sorrows in her, but the way in which she carried them is really to be appreciated. The walk of a pregnant women tells me that she is firm in her thoughts and activities. The attitude that she showed in the entire movie is definitely shows that she is a matured performer. She is worth for another award.

2.  Screenplay and story:
Of all the thriller movies I have seen so far, this is one of best movies which has very good screenplay and story. There is a clear connectivity of each scene to the next scene.

3. Female oriented subject:
One of veteran film makers is "K. Balachander". I am a great fan of his movies. Out of more than 100 movies, he has penned and directed, most of them are female oriented, controversial and self realization movies. After very long time, I am seeing one such movies which is of female oriented subject (Though Vidya's earlier 4 movies are of either female oriented or female weighted subject)

4. Portrayal of Kolkatta:
I like the way Kolkatta is portrayed in this movie. I would prefer writing them in separate post, as I have some attachment towards Kolkatta. I have been to Kolkatta couple of years before and this movie reminded me of same.

5. Twist in the climax:
Though my friend has hinted me about the climax to little extent, I felt there was a surprise in the climax to greater extent. It was real twist and this climax is one of its kind in thriller movies. I don't want to uncover the story here, as some of you may wanted to see the movie and enjoy it.

Of all the things, Vidya again scored by giving excellent performance! The credit not only goes to Vidya, though, but to director, writer and the entire crew!!!

Well done "Kahaani" crew members!!!

Waiting to watch Vidya's next performance!
